Art Exhibit & Meet the Artist - Josh Hutchins

The UNH Center for Graduate & Professional Studies is pleased to present: “Meet the Artist – Josh Hutchins” on Thursday, June 25, 2009. All are invited to view his exhibit that is currently on display at 286 Commercial Street, 4th floor. Hutchins’s exhibit entitled, “Creative Photography” includes a series of photographs taken from various locations with unique twists. When asked where he gets his inspiration, Hutchins said, “Photography has always been an interest of mine and I think it stems from only having a handful of pictures from my childhood. Now I tend to overcompensate when taking pictures. My inspiration comes from trying to make my photographs truly unique so that they stand out from normal, everyday snapshots. Aside from trying to take a photograph from a different perspective, a lot of it is experimenting with different settings on my camera and Adobe Photoshop until I create a work of art I am satisfied with.”

Hutchins holds a bachelor's degree in business administration/finance from UNH. He currently works as a senior fund accountant for State Street Bank in Andover, MA. Hutchins enjoys traveling and recently returned from a trip to Rome, where he found much of his inspiration for his current exhibit. He lives in Manchester, NH with his two cats Blue and Pokey.

All are invited for light refreshments and a conversation with the artist from 4:30-6:00 pm.
