Public Health (MPH)

Public Health

The UNH Graduate School offers the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree only on the Manchester campus through the Center.  The Program has recently been accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health.

Working professionals can complete the program on a part-time basis over two years.

Classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 9:30 in four-hour blocks for eight (8) weeks.  There are two exceptions for the spring term for first year students.  Epidemiology and Biostatistics are held for three-hour blocks, one day a week for 16 weeks.  All courses are supported by Blackboard, a web-based curriculum support program that allows students to access course materials as well as have synchronous and asynchronous contact with the instructor and fellow students.

Admission to the MPH Program is done through the UNH Graduate School.  Admission decisions are for the fall and spring semester.  In addition to completing Graduate School application requirements, interviews with the MPH Program Director, Rosemary Caron, are encouraged.

For a list of courses being offered this term on the Manchester campus check out the course schedule (if you are not admitted to the public health program, you will need to acquire permission from the Program Director to take a course).  For more information about the program visit their programs of study page for Public Health and the department's website.

The MPH Program also offers a Public Health Certificate.  This twelve-credit Program targets working professionals and can be completed part-time over one year.  Graduates of the Certificate Program can apply and if accepted transfer credits earned into the MPH Program.  To learn more about the Public Health Certificate, click here.
